I thoroughly enjoyed my 25 years of teaching but now I am enjoying my first days of retirement! Before I became a teacher I worked as a social worker for 10 years. I've been at Maple Grove for 13 years now and love it. Before coming to Maple Grove I taught grades 4 to 6 at another Barrie school. Teaching grade 1 and 2 is about the most fun I've ever had. This year I'm teaching Grade 1 for the second time! I can't wait to get started in September. Besides teaching I love my family, my three greyhounds, being physically active, art, reading ( especially on my kindle), math and word PUZZLES, gardening and cooking!.
